| The ISAA is proud to announce that the club will be holding an AKC Herding B Match on Sunday, October 24th at Nutmeg Farm in Portland CT. The Match will begin at 10am. In order to be authorized to hold a fully licensed/authorized herding test and/or trial, a club needs to hold a “B” and an “A” match. By completing these matches according to the AKC rules and regulations, our club will be eligible in the future to put on fully recognized herding events where our members can earn Herding Instinct Certificates, qualifying scores and titles. This is a very exciting opportunity for our breed and our club. Attached is a flyer with the basic information about the B Match. Herding Instinct tests and herding tests will be offered at the match and judged by an AKC herding judge. There will be an entry fee of $25 per dog per test to cover the cost of the judge. Tests are open to all Icelandic Sheepdogs. To register, please contact the match secretary, Kathy Birnie by e-mail kayjay215@yahoo.com or phone 860.346.2662. We urge those who are available and within driving distance to attend and support the efforts of the match committee (Aaron & Kathy Birnie, Loren Dribinsky, Dan McCarthy, and Emily & John Gitelman). Not only will it be a great opportunity to experience a little herding, but it will also be a great chance to meet some wonderful Icies and owners in the Northeast! [CLICK HERE] for the flyer |
