| Welcome to our Events and Activities Chapter. Please take a few minutes and explore the many activities our membership is involved in. AKC Participation at an all time high! Date: 5.1.09 Please note that this report is specific to AKC event participation. The ISAA entered the Misc Class July 1, 2008. 24 unique dogs competed in Misc Conformation Events Those 24 dogs participated in 52 different Conformation Events 19 unique ISDs competed in companion events. Our membership is participating MORE in conformation events than in companion events, 56% in AKC conformation events and 44% in AKC companion events. 77 new titles have been awarded to those competing in companion events. Zero conformation titles have been earned as no titles can be earned in conformation until we go to full AKC acceptance. According to the AKC, we "are in very good shape ... for the size of our breed, those are very good numbers." While this report is only addressing our participation in AKC events, AKC wants our quarterly reports to include participation in all conformation and companion events. This is because, "it is more important to record overall activity." This calendar year, we have already exceeded last year’ s participation numbers, year to date, as previously reported according to Titles and Events guy, Spike Williamson. Club activity is at an all time high. _________________________________ As of 5.18.09, we have already recorded almost 60% of the totals earned last calendar year for new titles and events attended. While these are excellent statistics regarding increased member participation, we know that the actual numbers are much higher and expect an additional substantial return following our ISAA National and Chapter Event. We strongly encourage those who are participating in events to report that information to the T&E Chair, Kathryn Ananda-Owens at isaabod@gmail.com. _________________________________ In 2009, the membership of the ISAA participated in 401 events and earned 107 new titles. These totals represent a 70.64% increase in event participation and 40.79% increase in new titles earned over 2008 figures. There were almost as many new titles reported in 2009 as were reported in 2007 and 2008 combined. Approximately 17% of our membership reported activities and accomplishments. Congratulations to everyone.
