The function of a ISAA chapter is to provide local opportunities for fun. Its purpose is to organize
events which may include a conformation show or fun match, agility competition/fun match, rally,
flyball, educational seminars, opportunity for members to complete the AKC's Canine Good
Citizen or Therapy Dog Certification and/or any other gathering or event as approved, in advance,
by the ISAA Board of Directors. Chapters operate in support of and at the discretion of the ISAA.
If you have a regional group of ISAA members that want to form a new local chapter, then here
are the requirements and form you need to submit:
If you are a renewing chapter, the following annual application must be submitted to the ISAA
Board of Directors for consideration by December 1 of each year.
As the ISAA continues to grow, having a number of regional chapters is normal and a sign of a
healthy club. The ISAA Board of Directors encourages this growth and establishment of chapters
to enhance the enjoyment and education of our members and the public about the Icelandic
Sheepdogs.
